So apparently ANet has a vendetta against Sega? When the Chat Filter is on the word "Sega" is censored! My guild mate and I were talking last night and we discovered this. Pretty amusing... What does ANet have to say about this? Hmmm?

Pretty amusing find. However don't be to quick on judging the censorfilter.
First I couldn't understand why I couldn't say Well of Power (wop), but after some thinking (white supreme bs) I found the reason for the censor.
Probably this has a valid reason, altough i can't think of it....

Also 'damned' is censored when you type it or call a target, but even with the filter on you can see it on the monsters hp bar.

The whole "Sega" filter thing has been known for a while, though I can't remember what was the reason for it.

Perhaps they used the Microsoft Word spell checker on their design docs...That thing will try and replace words like Hamburg (a place) with Hamster. I am not kidding. Perhaps they used a 3rd party censor routine that has similar retardation.

I looked up the word Sega on several dictionary sites. Nothing of note there.
